Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are used to treat fine lines, melasma, acne, discolored skin and scars on the face. They can be done alone or combined with other cosmetic procedures such as our Rezenerate Nano Service.

Chemical peels exfoliate the skin and remove dry, dead skin cells on the outermost and innermost layer of skin of your epidermis revealing fresh new skin cells. The type of acid, the amount of solution applied to the skin, the duration of time and the strength of the acid all play a role in how deep the peel will penetrate.

At TT Medical & Restorative Esthetics we offer a variety of options based on your skin care needs and concerns taking into consideration your skin tone and sensitivity. Our chemical peels range from superficial to deep. The deeper peels may offer more dramatic results in a shorter period of time however are not always necessary. This will be discussed during your consultation.

3 TYPES OF CHEMICAL PEELS

There are generally three types of chemical peels based on depth required to achieve optimal results:

SUPERFICIAL CHEMICAL PEEL

A superficial chemical peel removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis). It's used to treat fine wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. These may include:

Protease Enzyme: Peels containing a Protease Enzyme that mimic Cathepsin-D to promote cell renewal.

Hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C: may be used to boost facial and chemical peels.

5% Lactic Acid and Oxygen, Pumpkin and Pomegranate Enzymes.
